attention teacher-chef blog followers… I have moved to self-hosting.
If you are a subscriber, that means that you will have to visit the website & re-subscribe again (for my e-mail readers… I will be manually entering each of your e-mail addresses again so when you get an e-mail asking to confirm your subscription that is me re-entering you into the system, so please accept it).
If you are a WordPress.com follower – you are going to need to enter your e-mail address on teacher-chef.com to get e-mail updates (and everyone should like me on Facebook to keep up to date with everything!)
thanks for hanging in there with me through this change!

So often when you are done with your recipe that you bought your big container of ricotta for (and you always buy the bigger one because it is more cost effective that way), you still have ricotta left and you don’t know what to use it for. I decided to go on the hunt for a healthy dessert that I could indulge in without feeling guilty.
This comes together in about 5 minutes (plus a little bit if you want it chilled) so you can whip this up any time you are craving something slightly sweet and chocolaty. If you are used to making healthy switches in your diet this will be more than perfect for you. If you are, like my family, not used to subbing healthy alternatives in for other things – this may not satisfy your sweet tooth. If you (or your family) want it more sweet – just add more sweetener!

When you are “Entertaining Elegantly” – it does not need to be stuffy or stuck-up or difficult! Throwing your food “on a stick” is a great way to have beautiful presentation, easy to grab goodies, that everyone will love!
Make skewered antipastos for your next picnic, they are perfect for a grab and go hearty bite between whatever activity you have going on with your picnic. No need to grab junk food or stop your fun to sit and eat – grab a stick & have fun. You could also enjoy these as tasty appetizers, a great way to start off your next party and impress your friends. These skewered antipastos are even perfect for a formal gathering (maybe in a tall vase).

I love the flavors of good Caribbean food and the Jerk Seasoning in authentic cuisine is nothing like you can buy in a bottle. Although I must admit – the use of more than just a couple of habaneros really scared me (and I warned the family that our dinner might be way too spicy to eat), but in the end it was just the perfect level of heat for all to really enjoy! Thank goodness, I could not have been happier with the end results!

Pasta Salad: good on the side or perfect for a light meal.
There are so many different types of pasta salad, how do you choose just one!?
This Mexican Pasta Salad is delicious enough to count as a light summertime meal while still being healthy (and vegetarian). Often you see pasta salad made with big chunky pastas but this version switches it up a little allowing the other fresh summer flavors a chance to shine!
